I offer compassionate, client-centred counseling to individuals and families navigating mental health and life challenges. With over eight years of experience, I support youth and adults in working through concerns related to substance use, ADHD, anxiety, life transitions, and the impacts of migration and displacement, including refugee experiences. My practice is grounded in harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based approaches, with a strong emphasis on cultural humility and collaboration. I am registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
My practice is grounded in harm-reduction and trauma-informed principles and integrates a range of evidence-based approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based practices. I take a holistic view of mental health, recognizing the interconnectedness of mind and body in shaping emotional well-being and behavior. This flexible and collaborative approach allows me to meet clients where they are, tailoring care to their individual strengths, needs, and goals.
Alongside my clinical work, I hold a Ph.D. in Social Justice from the University of Toronto, with a specialization in anti-racist and anti-colonial education. My research focuses on refugee youth education and mental health, exploring how learning environments, systems of care, and community supports can better promote belonging, wellbeing, and long-term resilience. I am deeply committed to advancing social work practice by thoughtfully challenging dominant approaches and contributing to more inclusive, culturally responsive, and transformative ways of working. This academic foundation closely informs my clinical practice and advocacy, enriching the support I offer clients while also contributing to broader systems-level change.

I specialize in working with individuals navigating substance use and addiction, viewing these experiences within the wider context of mental health, trauma, and lived experience. Many of the people I work with are also managing anxiety, ADHD, grief, or significant life transitions. My approach is grounded in harm reduction and trauma-informed care, supporting clients in ways that honour their resilience, choices, and goals.
My standard fee is $120 per session, with sliding scale options available for those experiencing financial hardship. Referrals from medical professionals, community organizations, or self-referrals are welcome. Please feel free to contact me to discuss how I can support your needs.
